The start of a new beginning

Hello people, long time no see.The holidays have been a waste of time spent reading, stoning and sleeping. Hopefully the year 2009 will be much better. Sec one orientation today and i had to be a traffic marshall. Quite fun asking the cars to go this way and that way and slacking the rest of the time. Well, at least i can step out from home and smell some Victorian air. Im now super duper tired and hungry but i feel energetic and full at the same time. Just hope i can drive my "car" on the road itself and not step into the rocks. But who knows, maybe there are some great things under the rocks. Anyway goodbye....for now

Stoning

Ahh, nothing to post these holidays unless you want me to rattle normal stuff like brushing my teeth and going to sleep. So, sleep and wake up on the first day of school bye.

I WANNA GET BACK TO SCHOOL

The holidays are supposed to be a time where people relax and take a breather from their everyday schedule. However, for me, these holidays are filled with boredom, where i count every passing day go by and wait desperately and impatiently for the school year to begin. I never get bored on school days.

Anyway we had to go back to school yesterday for some NCC stuff. I was feeling good like yeah its school time again gonna meet everyone and feel so Victorian again. However, half way to the bus interchange, it started raining. It started of as a drizzle so i continued walking at a normal pace. However, around two minutes later, it started raining cats and dogs so i had no other choice but to "run" and twenty seconds later under the shelter of the bus stop, i found myself fully drenched. And that was not all, when i reached school, only four out of the like 18 who were supposed to come came. What was worse was that thew seniors were like so carefree and said that there was a meeting but then, they buzzed off upstairs. Argh i only got to stay in school for one hour and i was expecting it to be like 4 hours but i am glad for the one hour we spent im school, well at least i was not stuck at home lolling all day.
Anyway i really hope that the holidays will breeze through and it will be time for school again. Anyway while that happens, i am kind of glad that the holidays allow me to sleep longer and read alot more too. I will see all you Victorians next year then.

Stuck within four walls

Argh whats this, why is time acting like as if it is a slow runner? The school year just swept across me but now that it is the "holidays", time is slowing its pace causing boredom to plague my mind and body. Fortunately, i had just bought all my school books for next year which will ease some of the boredom along with the books from the library and the internet.

We went for NCC ne trip to the toa payoh hdb hub yesterday. Only 9 out of the 18 from part b came. However, 17 people came from part A what a shame. The event was quite good actually. We had a tour of the "hdb world" from the old days to today. Quite informative. Then it was refreshment where i hmm...ate quite a lot. And then we played a game where our team lost.

Yeah! Obama won the elections. Woo hoo! So glad that the American chose the right leader. Well, i feel quite good now after watching the whole election coverage thing(woke up at 6.30am). I sincerely hope everything or most things will be back in order. Yeah!

Drifting Log

I am now counting the days to 15 November when I will recieve my subject combination. I opted VS2B, VS2A and VS2D. VS2B comprises of Triple Sciences with History (elective) while VS2A comprises of Triple Sciences and Geography(Elective) and VS2D comprises of History (Elective) and Pure Geography. I am desperate to know which class my friends and I will be going to.

ARGH, CAN'T STAND THE WAIT ANY LONGER!

Anyway, I have been reading Islamic books as well as my usual dose of scientific books. I recently borrowed a book called "Islamic Fundamentalism". It's quite a nice book which shows how some Muslims started getting radical ideas and how it has evolved since then. Also, it dispelled the notion that all Muslims are extremists and that they have radical ideas mentioning that most Muslims and moderate and observant. Many of these extremists claim that Muslims should not acquire new technology, science or new forms of government and that everything should be like how it was in Prophet Muhammad's days.

However in my opinion I think that Muslims should acquire these new technologies, forms of governments and likewise so that Muslims can prosper like during the Islamic golden age. And of course Muslims faith in Islam should be high always. Many extremists also blame the western people for the downfall of Muslims in today's world. I think that it is mainly the fault of these extremists who discourage education and science and technology and other other good things that will allow Muslims to prosper while remaining devout towards Islam. And the Al-Quran itself strongly encourages acquisition of knowledge and education for all.

While writing this post i feel sad to leave 2D. I thank all who have tried to change me for the better, those who have given me some advice and those who treat me like an enemy. Thank you and i will miss you all (Although I'm not sure whether anyone will miss me) and i wish you the best in all your endeavors.

So how well (or badly) did i fly my plane?

The pilot was lazy, he did not mind the hydraulics chamber or the engine power. Suddenly the 2nd engine exploded and the hydraulics chamber was leaking. The pilot had to land quickly but however the plane went out of control and it crashed...... 1.5 metres away from the edge of the cliff 360 metres high. Out from the left wing came smoke and the front of the plane was extremely dent but fortunately all had survived.

Yes, you guessed it, the results are back. Although i am disappointed with myself for my extremely bad performance, I must say that i got what i deserved as even on the week of exam, i carried out my university and wikipedia research. Fortunately, i am still eligible to take triple sciences. Well there is still next year. yeah!

The sun is shining brightly

Best day of the week so far. Today was not really an eventful day but it really did make me smile. We started with a new chapter for Maths today which is the last one before revision. Not hard really, in fact, it was very comprehensible. PE was pretty good too for the first time, I felt energy and the yellow feeling all around my body. My favourite was Music we used the Boomwackers too create some music. It was really fun.

I suppose I was a good guy too. None of my classmates were angry with me and I had a good chat with Zaki, Husain, Marcus and the rest. We nominated ourselves for the PSL since none of us were nominated by our form teacher. I know I am not a good leader and I cannot even handle my own problems but I know that there is a hidden gem in all of us and we have to unleash it before it is too late.

I have come up with a revision scheme too. I shall practise and revise for 2 hours on weekdays and 4 hours on weekends. It is not too demanding and it allows me to have free time too. Soon, this little fat retard shall climb the highest peaks and join the ranks of the top few. But of course, I wish everyone success in their climbs and conquests. It is best to have failed against an worthy opponent than to have won with no hindrance at all.

I hope friendships passes through our blood to our various organs and hatred diffuses through our capillaries and gets removed as a waste product. May everyone succeed in whatever good that they do.

RESULT TROUBLES

Sorry for posting late. My 8 YEAR OLD COMPUTER had some problems. I got back my results on Friday have a look:

English - B4
Mathematics - B4 (WORST SHOWING)
Geography - B3
Visual Art - B4
Science - A2(sniff sniff)
Average:65%

One word to describe my results: TERRIBLE. Looks like i will have work a lot harder if I want to get a 9 subject combination and be the top 3 in the class.

I know that it is very possible for me to do very well but for some reason, I can't seem to study probably because I'm quite lazy. I am a person who aims unrealistically high and always wanting to be at the top. Whenever someone else does well and I do badly, I get this strange feeling in my ears and I get frustrated. I just can't stand it if I'm not at the top. I know that this sounds really selfish of me but that's how I feel and I can't change it.

My goals are really high and may seem impossible. I aim to get into a nine subject combination class, get 9 A1s and be one of the top students for the o levels in Singapore. I aim to get into VJC, be first in the A* talent search for science and get 7 to 9 distinctions in my A levels again being the top few in Singapore. Then I aim get a National Science Scholarship and study Biochemistry or Genetics at the University of Cambridge and graduate as First Class with Honours.

Then, I will pursue my PhD at Harvard or Stanford and get the Best Thesis Award and publish lots of papers. I aim to discover the deepest secrets of the gene and win the Nobel Prize and become a more important scientist than Einstein and on top of that all I hope to be a very good Muslim. All that seems really impossible doesn't but I really want to accomplish them. So whatever happen I will remain confident of my abilities and aim be the best that I can be. Remember, the sky is the limit.

The world in 2050

I would like to say that this is just plain imagination. I am not sure whether this would really happen.

I stepped out of my bed. It was installed with a system that allowed me to wake up and brush my teeth at the same time. After performing the morning prayers, I ordered orange juice and honey toasts by using the voice recognition system that recognised me. The bread was instantly put into the toaster and orange juice was taken out of the fridge. All done through simple programming in just one second. I pressed a small button at the side of my spectacles. Instantly the daily news appeared in front of my eyes on the spectacle screen. Suddenly, there was the sound of bombs the daily fight between the neighbors had begun.

INTRODUCTION

Welcome dear human. My name is Md Adeeb Hossain. I am currently residing in Singapore since I was three years old.

I study in Victoria school, which is a premier school in Singapore established in the year 1876. For more information about my school, please visit http://www.vs.moe.edu.sg/ . I am a Muslim(trying to be devout). I like Science, particularly biology and chemistry ,reading, surfing the internet(visiting websites of renowned universities and doing tests) and food like ice lemon tea, beef and Nasi Lemak among others.

To me, life is a test in which you pass and allowed admission to Heaven. I believe we are tested on many things like faith in God, respect, kindness, control and many others.

I would like to break the sterotype of Muslims in this world. We are not violent although we are protrayed otherwise in today's media. In fact, we are told to be peace-loving, friendly, kind and tolerant people, and it is enforced in our Holy Book, the Koran. I hope people will understand one another and live in harmony. I hope everyone, including the Muslims, Jews and Christians, will tolerate each other and understand each other.

Anyway, enough preaching for now and I hope you all will be fine.
