Drifting Log

I am now counting the days to 15 November when I will recieve my subject combination. I opted VS2B, VS2A and VS2D. VS2B comprises of Triple Sciences with History (elective) while VS2A comprises of Triple Sciences and Geography(Elective) and VS2D comprises of History (Elective) and Pure Geography. I am desperate to know which class my friends and I will be going to.

ARGH, CAN'T STAND THE WAIT ANY LONGER!

Anyway, I have been reading Islamic books as well as my usual dose of scientific books. I recently borrowed a book called "Islamic Fundamentalism". It's quite a nice book which shows how some Muslims started getting radical ideas and how it has evolved since then. Also, it dispelled the notion that all Muslims are extremists and that they have radical ideas mentioning that most Muslims and moderate and observant. Many of these extremists claim that Muslims should not acquire new technology, science or new forms of government and that everything should be like how it was in Prophet Muhammad's days.

However in my opinion I think that Muslims should acquire these new technologies, forms of governments and likewise so that Muslims can prosper like during the Islamic golden age. And of course Muslims faith in Islam should be high always. Many extremists also blame the western people for the downfall of Muslims in today's world. I think that it is mainly the fault of these extremists who discourage education and science and technology and other other good things that will allow Muslims to prosper while remaining devout towards Islam. And the Al-Quran itself strongly encourages acquisition of knowledge and education for all.

While writing this post i feel sad to leave 2D. I thank all who have tried to change me for the better, those who have given me some advice and those who treat me like an enemy. Thank you and i will miss you all (Although I'm not sure whether anyone will miss me) and i wish you the best in all your endeavors.

So how well (or badly) did i fly my plane?

The pilot was lazy, he did not mind the hydraulics chamber or the engine power. Suddenly the 2nd engine exploded and the hydraulics chamber was leaking. The pilot had to land quickly but however the plane went out of control and it crashed...... 1.5 metres away from the edge of the cliff 360 metres high. Out from the left wing came smoke and the front of the plane was extremely dent but fortunately all had survived.

Yes, you guessed it, the results are back. Although i am disappointed with myself for my extremely bad performance, I must say that i got what i deserved as even on the week of exam, i carried out my university and wikipedia research. Fortunately, i am still eligible to take triple sciences. Well there is still next year. yeah!
